Thank You, Lilly 

We would like to pay tribute to Lalitha (Lilly) Padman Sanathanan, a remarkable woman whose kindness and compassion inspired us. Our paths crossed only once, at a Moses Lake Lions Club meeting, but her warmth and generosity left an indelible mark. Lilly's infectious enthusiasm and her desire to make a difference were evident in her question, 'How can I help? We outlined a few options for Peace's needs and our vision, and she was overjoyed. She smiled and said she would be in touch when we left. Sadly, Lilly passed away a week later. Devastated for her family and friends, little did we know that Lilly’s story with Peace was not over. She had told us she wanted to help, and we had no idea how true that was. After meeting with us, she spoke with her family back in India about what Peace was doing and how she wanted to help. To celebrate her legacy, her family has donated to Peace in her name and plans to continue this meaningful tradition, honoring her lasting wishes. We knew we had met a special woman that day, but there are no words we can say that truly express how thankful we are. Not just for the donations, but the fact that we got to meet her and can continue to make a difference in her name. Lilly will have a dedication page coming soon to our webpage and a decal for the Peace trailer. We will share her biography as she had an amazing life and a great story to tell. We thank Jennifer Hickok and the Moses Lake Lions Club for all of your help and partnering with us, and most of all introducing us to this amazing woman.
